Forget the evidence or negligence, do you want him guilty?

even if you didn't know anything about this case, do any of you want him guilty because you just don't like the guy?

no. this whole situation, the collosal stain on his career, and all the legal trouble should be more than enough punishment for any hater.

If he's innocent, there shouldn't be a colossal stain on his career, but ultimately, let's please not forget that the whole situation concerns the loss of an innocent woman, who was a mother and a wife, and if he is somehow guilty of her death, it isn't about *punishing* Baldwin so much as bringing him to account for that tragic death.

For some people it might be. I'm happy to call their bluff and go along, at face-value, with the OP's question, as obvious as the answer should be (i.e. 'Hell, No' unless he has actually committed a crime).

One of the tests is whether you'd say something that is blatantly unfair should be applied to Baldwin just because you love the delicious irony.

The story above is one such instance. They charged him with a "firearm enhancement" -- a law the anti-firearm actor would have lobbied for -- a law which did not exist when he committed the crime. Can they pass a law then charge someone with it retroactively? That doesn't sound fair, and his lawyers are going to argue that it's not only unfair, it's unconstitutional.

It's also ironic. I'm sure if Trump had pulled the trigger, Baldwin would would be screaming for him to be hit with the firearm enhancement charge. But I think Baldwin should only be charged with what his actions have earned, and not with laws passed after the fact.

No. He's been on the low ranks of my shit list for a long time now, but not high enough that I want to see him suffer without evidence.

No, the only people I feel that way about are those that I think are a danger to humanity in some way, and Baldwin may be an asshole but it's not like he's a tyrant or a Republican politician.
