Baldwin was acting in a film, and was not being threatened at all.
Both are responsible. One was justified and the other negligent. If you are trying to say that Rittenhouse should be jailed for acting in self defence, you should be asking for Baldwin to be executed, for his actions? Why aren't you?
Good theory. That gun wasn't constantly being monitored and there was an earlier report of people shooting cans/bottles earlier in the day during a break in shooting the movie-just totally reckless behavior. Alec has had a target on his back for some time with bigots/gun nuts. No doubt there were some on the set who harbored those feelings. Whoever that guy was that said it was a "cold" gun makes me wonder what his political affiliation was.
