The only way i'd believe for a second this really happened is if...

a quick google search shows that anywhere between 55 and 75 camaras are rolling at the academy awards at any one time. even 360 degree camaras, one of these camaras would have caught what happened from Will going from sheer laughter to anger in the space of less than 5 seconds, i want to see what made him change so radically. the interaction between him and jada.

I think the camara people and directors made a mistake or Will did, he wasn't supposed to be filmed laughing like that, the joke was supposed to be told, then appears will, he slaps chris, sits down and then starts shouting what he did.

They can't show Will going from laughing his ass off to anger in less than 5 seconds, because if you weren't born yesterday then you'd know that it's not realistic.

When that video comes to light, then maybe......until then it's a staged hollywood bit. especially when we see him laughing before and after the slap.

reply

Why would that matter? If we saw him smiling, then getting angry, wouldn't you just chalk that up to him acting?

reply

it matters because it doesn't make sense and some people have some level of critical thinking and don't always take things at face value. it's a sign of inteligence.

however if i saw an honest real interaction between will and jada, this joke hurt his feelings and he decided to do something, then yeah, it would make it seem more legit.

it still wouldn't answer why he laughed before and AFTER the slap though and the many other inconsistencies

reply

Again, if you saw footage of him changing his expression, you would call that acting.

As for laughing before the slap, I personally have seen people laugh at or dismiss a comment before getting mad. Hell, off the top of my head, I can recall a guy smiling and laughing as he started punching some other guy. People have weird reactions in real life but TV shows and movies rarely reflect that awkwardness since everything needs to be clear cut. If it were staged, the acting would reflect a TV show or movie, right?

reply

it did seem like bad acting, yeah! thats why mainstream newspapers, gossip papers, serious papers, those on the left and right.. have written articules questioning if its real. there must be a reason why?

reply

So people who are paid millions of dollars to act are suddenly unable to act? Yeah, that makes sense.

reply

you just want to believe it's real, no matter what someone says you'll find a way of saying it's not true, you must think they were acting good enough to convince you, thats why you believe it. i think it's fiction, and therefore bad acting. or i would believe it really happened like they say it did, right?

i'm not saying i know exactly what happened or why, but when so many people question if it was staged or not, and i'm not just talking about people here, but every mainstream newspaper has written something on it, asking if it's real. there must be a reason why right?

reply

"you just want to believe it's real, no matter what someone says"

The trouble is we've heard what "someone says", and it sounds surprisingly like bullshit, hence not convincing.
"People are saying... (fill in blank)". The thing is you've failed to persuade. That's it. The reasons for this failure to persuade have been quite clearly laid out.

"but every mainstream newspaper has written something on it, asking if it's real. there must be a reason why right?"

This is an argument? What mainstream newspaper is taking this theory seriously? Not MENTIONING it. Taking it seriously? Screw MSM, what percentage of average Joes on this site are taking it seriously?

reply

Yeah, all news sources I’ve seen have treated it as real. The only people I have seen claim it was fake are random dudes on the internet. I’ve seen this guy on multiple threads so either he’s trolling or he’s just emotionally attached to telling everyone it’s fake for whatever reason. Either way, I’m done.

It's a conspiracy!

Give up. Are you real? This is a useless conversation. Contact LAPD. Read Reuters.

IMO, he laughed because he’s trained to laugh at those public celebrity moments. The joke wasn’t even really funny.

He reacted quickly because of Jada, and he quickly went into personal beast mode. It quickly turned into a personal thing, and he felt important enough to get away with approaching the stage, and slapping Chris Rock.

He knew he was winning an Oscar, and let his super ego take over. It was “his night”, so he instinctively decided to do something ballsy that he felt he could get away with. IMO, he wouldn’t have dared done that if he was simply a guest.
