Did Maggie Lawson in a way, "take" Alicia Silverstone's career?
I always when looking up info on the rise and fall of Alicia's A-list career, people often bring up how Reese Witherspoon may have had the career that Alicia was expected to have. I mean, it's hard not to think that Reese's character in Legally Blonde was somewhat similar to Alicia's character in Clueless.

Maggie Lawson meanwhile, may not exactly be an A-list actress, but she continues to land major TV roles:

Watching her newest show, Outmatched, I can't help but think how much Maggie Lawson looks like Alicia Silverstone. She seems like a more "agreeable" version of Alicia (i.e. minus the aggressive weirdness in her personal life and rumors that she's generally unpleasant to work with in real life).

People magazine thought so too:

The daughter of hotel manager Mike, 60, and homemaker Judy, 47, Lawson got her start because of her resemblance to someone else: Alicia Silverstone. When she read an article about a search for a lookalike to star in a TV series based on Silverstone’s ’95 film Clueless, Lawson headed to L.A. with her family. She lost the Clueless gig but found work appearing in series like Party of Five and ER.share
