Why is Jack Nicholson not held in the same esteem as Al Pacino and Robert De Niro?

He has more Oscars than the both of them but it seems like he’s not considered that great of an actor compared to them. Why?

Because most normies and film bros only know the spark notes versions of actors’ careers and don’t dive deep into their filmographies to come up with educated opinions.

Technically Robert Duvall and Dustin Hoffman are superior to either of those three, but that’s like comparing the Taj Mahal to the Pyramids.
