honestly, who used to think he was crappy?
I used to loathe his work, but now he is cranking out some fantastic performances in some great projects.

I caught all the great recent films first, then the best of the rest, and now I'm watching the rest (through my fingers). Because of this order I've developed a terrible alternative timeline where current-level outstanding actor after some zigzags has been shanghaied and derailed in a ten year desolation.
