shareDude, you and I are so much on the same page. I could not stand her on SNL. She yelled a lot, but was never funny. Did she think the louder she yelled, the funnier people would perceive her? It didn't work on me.
And don't get me wrong. I am neither racist nor sexist. My two favorite SNL stars of all time are Kenan Thompson (black), and Kristen Wiig (woman). See what I did there?
I grew up with Eddie Murphy's stand up routines. So yeah I really couldn't give a shit about color or gender etc Just if you are going to be a comedian just be fucking funny!
That Ghostbusters Woke remake with Leslie Jones it is supposed to be a Girl Power thing and yet the funniest person in that film is a not only not a comedian but also a man - Hemsworth. He is just naturally funny.
Anyway there is a scene in that film where Leslie's character stage dives and the audience parts and lets her face plant. She says "So tell me, is it a black thing or a woman thing?" Neither. It's a you're too fucking heavy and big thing!
And that is what we have here. This race or as I called it above Oppression Olympics where all these groups are competing for gold. The more oppression points you can amass the more head you are. So you better knock a few other oppressed groups down too so they don't get the wrong idea!
