WTH happened to Mel Gibson?

That incident he had with the police a long time ago really affected him. With the way Hollywood is now and him being a staunch conservative and that said incident many people don’t want to work him. He’s made a lot more straight to DVD movies over the last few years, some are good/descent, The Beaver, Get the Gringo. He was in Daddy’s Home 2 recently which was his first main stream movie in a long time. I think when the studios are looking for certain aged actors they’re not thinking Mel Gibson, the younger generation (I’m 40) doesn’t really know him and the older ones remember his racist rant.

Easy: he shot off his mouth while blind stinking drunk, Hollywood blacklisted him, he tried to redeem himself, and in true Hollywood fashion, they refused to forgive him and let him back in.

It's actually happened to many conservative actors, though not quite in that way, but I'm starting to see a lot of formerly famous actors with conservative values working outside of Hollywood mainstream these days. Just goes to show what kind of scum are running Tinseltown these days.

The blacklist was a blip. Once Hollywood realized he could still make money he got jobs. Money over principles.

He's got about 12 movies since the unpleasantness of 2010.
