Did he mistake tough guy roles for actually being tough?

He has had a lot of roles that show him as tough and scrappy, but he's a pretty small guy who's been in theater his entire life. I can't imagine he's ever been in a real fight, but I think playing those roles has convinced him he's ACTUALLY tough. Now he runs his mouth like he could back it up, and he just comes across like a total joke.

reply

He's a fat loser that think's hes a real life gangster.

reply

is he small? he looks tall in Goodfellas

reply

Nah, he's only average height, somewhere between 5'9" and 5'10".

reply

WAY shorter than that. Check out the platform shoes De Niro wore to try to look taller than Pacino.

reply

Maybe, but he's listed as between 5'9" and 5'10"

reply

Well, Pacino is 5' 7". Take away DeNiro's plats and they look the same height in that picture.

reply

He is playing a 6'4" guy hence the platform shoes.

reply

You do realize that's a shot from a film where he and Pacino are playing actual, historical characters, right? Frank Sheeran, played by DeNiro here, was much taller in real life than Jimmy Hoffa, played by Pacino. So they filmed this shot with DeNiro in platform shoes so that he can appear taller when they're standing or walking right next to each other, and framed the shot so both men's feet were cropped out.

reply

Where has he been running his mouth and acting tough?

reply

He's said on multiple occasions that he wants to "punch Trump in the face". De Niro is a small, 77 year old man. Trump would probably beat his ass, but its easy to run your mouth when you know you'll never have to back it up. Honestly, its just embarrassing when anybody his age thinks throwing punches is how you should handle disagreeing opinions, much less when that person can probably manhandle you.

reply

Surely millions of people have echoed the same sentiment...does not mean they would actually do it.

reply

One thing to tell your buddies over a beer that, completely different to tell a reporter or talk show host where you know you are basically saying it to the world at large.

Denero is like most actors, a complete douche that thinks they are tough because they are surrounded by ass kissing yes men that stroke them more than a hooker in Bangkok. It would be humorous as hell to see any of these actors actually get into a back alley fight. I don't think I can think of any that wouldn't end up beat down.

reply

You're completely missing the point. This has nothing to do with De Niro acting tough, acting the hard man etc like some of his characters.

He simply echoed a sentiment that millions of people around the world can relate to.

But like those millions, he is never actually going to hit Trump.

Essentially he is just relating how much he despises the man.

reply

Well most of the people in the US that didn't like Trump never stated they would move out of the country if he won...Deniro did... but he never left. The little cunt is not only a blowhard but a liar as well... Then again I suspect there is along list of celebrity cunts that said they would move out of the country that never did.

reply

How do you know how many people stated they would leave the country? How do you know if some people did actually leave the country?

Basically you don't know shit, but you sure seem to be somewhat obsessed with a few random comments from an actor.

And comments that may well have been fabricated or taken out of context anyway.

But your level of anger about something so trivial tells me that you are predisposed to believe what you read and not question it.

reply

If you are too stupid to know that the quotes of celebrities saying they would leave if Trump beat Hillary were true then you are an idiot. If some network or paper didn6fact check a quote like that they would risk monetary damages and making up a story like that isn't worth the risk.

reply

Did even 1 celebrity that claimed they'd leave, actually do it? They are all completely full of shit.

reply

"that stroke them more than a hooker in Bangkok."

PERSONAL INSIGHT SLIP...OOPS.πŸ€”

reply

Did you see the way he moved in The Irishman with his computer generated "young face"? He still walked around like a doddering old man - with a young face. And his fight scenes were cringe-o-rama.

reply

He's said on multiple occasions that he wants to "punch Trump in the face".
De Niro only said that in response to Trump himself talking about wanting to punch people in the face!

A WORKING CLASS KID FROM MANHATTAN CIRCA THE 1940S/50S...WHOS FATHER LEFT HIS MOTHER AND ANNOUNCED HIMSELF AS GAY WHEN ROBERT WAS TWO...YEAH,HE IS A REAL PHONY(SARCASM).πŸ€”

reply

You are either too dense to understand or remember, so I'll cut and paste my last reply to you. Maybe it will sink in this time:

I've made it so clear how little consideration I have for your worthless opinion, it boggles my mind you continue to reply to me. Let me make it clear: You bring nothing to the table regarding conversation. You've proven to be worthless and hypocritical. Anything you'd ever say that contradicts my opinion only strengthens the certainty that I am correct in my way thinking, and anything you'd say supporting my opinion would add zero validation. Your words mean nothing to me other than an excuse to fill a few moments of boredom to reiterate how useless I think you are, while I'm taking a shit.

reply

ITS OK BUDDY...I LOVE YOU ENOUGH FOR BOTH OF US.πŸ’–πŸ†

reply

I say that all the time. She doesn't get it. It's like asking someone to imagine an apple. Some tards cant do it.

reply

"A working class kid from Manhattan circa the 1940s/50s whose father left his mother and announced himself as gay when Robert was two. Yeah, he is a real phony (sarcasm)." [Caps lock off, punctuation and spelling corrected from original]

Being working class does not mean someone is tough.
Being a kid in the 1940s or 1950s does not mean someone is tough.
Having a father who left does not mean someone is tough.
Having a gay father does not mean someone is tough.

Got any more nuggets of logic and wisdom?

Kowalski is the biggest douchebag on these boards, and it would be better without him here cluttering them up with his meaningless posts. He has over 13 thousand posts in roughly a year, which not only demonstrates what a complete loser he is, but also quickly points out how unlikely it is that he has anything of quality to contribute. Best to just ignore him, and hope he goes away soon.

reply

i think hes probably murdered a few people to get into character. some of these guys actually do ride-alongs on mob hits to be authentic. they're all sickos.
