Scientology impact

I'm a fan. Liked most of his movies, loved some of them. But I have now reached a point where I can't separate his on screen image from that of his private life, which is highly spotlighted in the media.

I have two questions.

1. Is Scientology the reason that Tom Cruise suffers the inability to sustain a personal, long lasting relationship with his ex wives and subsequent children, or did they all jump ship due to Scientology?

2. Since Cruise is a "celebrity" member of Scientology, is he, or is he not subject to all the "rules" and "regulations" of Scientology, or is he exempt from regulation due to his extensive pocket book?

I actually read something the other day (although I don't know how old it was) that said Nicole does not have much contact with the older two although she tries. The daughter bella when asked if she sees her mother much she said, ?not if I can help it". She also referred to her as a supressive bish. Also, they both call her Nicole, not "mom" which Nicole said she doesn't like, and has asked them to not do that.
I wish I knew where I saw it so I could link it, but I have read so much about all this over the last few weeks it all runs together.
I'm not so sure she was ever a Scientologist though, even when they were married. I assume Katie was though, since we have been told that she wrote the knowledge report about Leah after the wedding.

1) Mimi Rogers is still a scientologist so I guess he may see her from time to time. What their current relationship is, I have no idea. Nicole and Katie Holmes (as well as Suri) have been declared suppressive persons (SP) so he is banned from seeing them.

Which leads to:

2) Tom has been looking to see Suri again. Apparently they are considering letting him do it due to his value to scientology. I had heard that this is causing some kind of internal struggle in the organization because many others are now asking why can he see his SP family members but we cannot.
