carpenter. but craven was great too.

You missed some of Carpenter's best films, like Prince of Darkness, Starman, Assault on precinct 13, They Live and listed some of the weaker ones, Village of the Damned, The Fog.

John Carpenter, of course.

Carpenter. He didn’t make many good films but he at least made some, including the fantastic The Thing.

Craven made one good film. The first Nightmare on Elm Street. All his other film’s sucked, especially the Scream franchise. He’s one of the most overrated hacks in the business.

THAT IS A FAIRLY UNINFORMED AND RIDICULOUS TAKE.

LOVE WES...BUT THE ANSWER IS CARPENTER...BY A MILE.

reply

I think Carpenter's best is superior to Craven's, so Carpenter.
