Don't they realize how stupid this sounds? I can't listen to this kind of shit. Not that I encounter it, but if I do (watching a YouTube video), I immediately turn it off.
shareIt doesn't sound dumb or intelligent imo, it's just a resting word. It gives people a half-second to pause during conversation so that conversation can continue without the flow being interrupted.
shareI'm bad for saying "like, you know" when I'm trying to put my words out coherently. It drives me nuts to hear myself say it, but sometimes it just pops out. I think it's a something that I say when I want someone to relate to what I'm saying. I found this when I was editing a podcast (not the MCMC podcast), and I don't feel as badly about it.
