I always laugh at people who confuse astronomy and astrology.

But it confuses a lot of people if it's any constellation.

Did you planet this way?

reply

Carry on with puns like that and I'm going to have to write you an orbituary.

reply

No comet.

If she could stop touching her stars for a moment, she'd do a facepalm - I can see it in her future.

Why do women who look like this always end up being insane?

Hair dye leaks into brains?

Or Captain Kirk fans.

She has a Picard bobblehead on the shelf.

I've always had a thinking in the back of my mind that peoples in the far, far distant past knew [astronomy] but [astrology] was established/birthed for the masses to retain/remember basic knowledge of the former.

[EDIT] I mixed the words around by accident hehe

Was that before the apes found the monolith?

reply

I’m appalled by the horror scope of it all.

reply

Astronomers Taurus well.

reply

That pun was as funny as Cancer

Have you seen the film "Naked" (1993) by Mike Leigh with David Thewlis samo? It has a quote in it about it - "I'm not talking about astrology, I'm talking about astronomy".

reply

Yes, I have seen it.

reply

Did you like it? (By the way, one of its technical crew members, Dick Pope, cinematographer on it and on most of Mike Leigh's films, passed away last year at 70 something.)

reply

It's good to watch once.

reply

No worries, so I guess in your case, a 6/10 rating for that movie? Many consider it a perfect masterpiece of early 90s British social cinematic black comedy drama perfection and Mike Leigh's darkest AND best film. And I bet that partially at least it inspired Gaspar Noe's "I Stand Alone" ("Seul Contre Tous") (1998) among others as there are some similarities between Johnny and The Butcher characters of both movies.

And RIP Dick Pope.

reply

8/10 but would never watch again. It's not that kind of movie.

reply

No worries, yeah I understand, and it is a bit depressive and not exactly a movie for fun family viewing.

reply

Stop being so mean to TheMan. 8/10 is a movie you might watch again in 5 years especially if you're high.

reply

It doesn't have rewatch value. It's mostly a guy walking the streets at night and going on philosophical tirades.

reply

It sounds like "Gerry". But you rated it 8/10 so you must've liked it.
