Why do you CARE about famous people?

EVERYONE is different and your interests are fine... I just wonder why it is a deal at all?

All over the web I run across articles about famous person did this or that or thinks this or changes their look or whatever....

My deep question is: why does anyone ever give one rip about what some famous person does?

I don't get it at all. Granted, I am different than many people, but I have zero interest or concern about someone rehab or who they're banging or how old they are, what they ate... seems a tad, well, I have no clue why people WANT this information.

Why?
How is it "Entertaining" to know what some other person DID? Isn't it just null info?

I don't really. At best it can just be some fluff to watch or read. At worst I might shake my head at it. I don't actually care about them at all.

Due to a recent even in November 2024 I think Celebs have learned that most of us really don't care about what they are endorsing and that celeb endorsements can even be counter productive.

I admire famous people who both accomplished something great and have personal characteristics to which I would aspire. Sometimes I love people I really shouldn't because they have done some bad things but I can appreciate good things they did. I am perfectly capable of hating someone I never met if they did bad enough things. The ones I love, I can't stop and don't really want to.

I’m interested in the way famous people become rich or internationally known. And also, perhaps morbidly, I’m interested in how they died.

To read about a Chris Cornell or a Robin Williams ending things is so crazy to me. Everything to live for, millions of fans and they just ‘pull the plug.’ I’ll never understand this.
