I will only consider getting a dishwasher when someone makes one where you don't have to scrape.
How long will I have to wait?

shareWe won’t see one before we’re all in a retirement home when we won’t need it.
shareI had Grandparents on my dad's side who owned a house and for years refused to have a dishwasher, carpet, air conditioning, a color TV, or a VCR in their house. My parents got them a color TV/VCR combo in 1999. But it wasn't til after my Grandma died that he got air conditioning in his house and only cause in his words, "Everybody bitched about it!" I myself don't have a dishwasher cause I rent a trailer. At least it has carpet and central air/heat though.
shareI hear ya. Also how come no one has invented tiny flossing bots? Pop a few bots in your mouth and they clean all the nooks and crannies essentially flossing your teeth. No hover boards or flying cars too. Step it up technology, let's go!
shareThere are dishwashers out there that can clean the plates in addition to sterilizing them, but they're expensive. I'm afraid most affordable dishwashers for us peasants do little more than sterilize dishes, forcing us to do initial rinsing and scraping off of food before putting them into the machine.
So you'll have to get rich and buy a higher-quality dishwasher first.
Dishwashers are redundant. You have to rinse all the food scraps and residue off anyway before you put them inside. So just wash them in the sink and dry them and be done with it.
Agree.
I saw some story that tried to spin it that dishwashers use less water than handwashing.
I assume the report was sponsored by Maytag.
always thought incorporating a garbage disposal into the dishwasher was a good step in the right direction. not sure why that's not a thing yet. bust it up, mulch it up, flush it out, on with the washing. It's just an extra component and a few extra wash cycles.
shareBut that assumes the dishwasher will actually remove the garbage from the dishes.
