WHOA!!!
You are a braver man than I. Scary heights and extreme cold are NOT on my list of fun things.
This is guaranteed to both terrify and astound you. Maybe you've even heard of this guy before. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yIBFFfGWtb0
Oh hell no way bud!
That would completely scare the hell out of me! Cool historic video👍
I have read that the Iroquois Confederation was particularly skilled at this sort of work. But
WOW, I like my feet on the ground.
I can clear my house gutters but nothing higher than that LOL!
Yes, many times. It's great, and I can't wait to go back.
shareI'm not sure Iceland qualifies.
shareThey're a bit of a mixed bag. But they are generally considered to be part of Europe especially politically and culturally. But from a tectonic plates/geological point of view, they're technically both North American and European.
From my time there in July, the Icelanders consider themselves Icelanders first, Nordic (not Scandinavian) second and European last.
A fascinating country with beautiful scenery. The people are great too.

Okay, they're culturally European. But they're closer to North America (Greenland) than Europe.
shareWhen I was there in July, there was an activity where you can scuba dive between the North American and European tectonic plates. Unfortunately, didn't have the time. But that would've been cool.

Since when is Greenland North American?
I've just neve thought of it that way , given Denmark sorta owns it nut i guess that dont mean much with overseas territories and stuff
Well remember when the Vikings discovered Greenland it was a new world to them. Erik the Red discovered it in the 10th Century but after he and the first colonists died off, it wasn't until the 18th Century that the Danish returned. I'd say as part of a land mass it qualifies as North America.

"From my time there in July, the Icelanders consider themselves Icelanders first, Nordic (not Scandinavian) second and European last."
I think that's also true for the rest of Europe. We all know we are European, but I can't think of an instance that I actually identify as European except in discussions about Europe with non-Europeans.
Curiously, sometimes when I am posting here is one of those moments when I identify myself more as an European than "just" as a spaniard or German.
sharedidja know Greenland is
further north than Iceland
further west than Iceland
further south than Iceland
further east than Iceland
?
check the map!
Well, I never been to Spain
But I kinda like the music
Well, I never been to England
But I kinda like the Beatles
Actually, I have been to Spain and England, but many decades ago, traveling with my family. I was a little kid. I've only been to Europe once as an adult, to visit my sister who was working at the U.N. in Geneva.
Yes, when I came back from my trip to Disney World.
