Best version of A Christmas Carol/Scrooge.

I liked Scrooge (1951) best, but I do like the one Patrick Stewart did in 1999.

A Christmas Carol (1971). I'm talking about the animated TV special which was produced by Richard Williams and Chuck Jones (of Looney Tunes fame).
This is probably the most faithful adaptation of the story, with the character and background designs made to look like pen-and-ink drawings. The only flaw is they were given only 25 minutes to tell the tale, which meant a rapid presentation of the story.
I really wish they would have expanded this to two hours.

Nothing says Christmas like a set of steel belted radials.

reply

Alastair Sim is by far the best version. That being said I myself am partial to Albert Finney's version from 1970.

reply

I own Scrooge (1970) just because of Albert Finney.
