A diabolical either/or as I quite like both, but out of these 2, I pick 3DD. If Deep Inside of You had been the TEB option, they would've gotten my vote.

shareI did not know that. Didn’t they have one hit after the next for like three years in the late 60’s? The only reason I know that is because my beloved Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys brought them in to produce them and had them record two or three songs he wrote and felt they did not sing well enough. He killed the project and the group recalibrated and had more hits thereafter than the Beach Boys could ever hope to achieve in the 70’s.
shareYes...I looked up their Wikipedia page and, between 1969 to 1975, they had 21 Top 40 hits, 3 of which went to #1 (My favorite song from them was not a #1 hit..."Out In The Country," which was written by the great songwriter Paul Williams). They had a ton of great songs.
Also, my now-ex- brother -in-law saw them in concert back in the early 70s and he said they were great. They had a reputation back then for putting on great shows...they really rocked.
That's interesting about Brian Wilson...I didn't know that! I love music trivia, so I'm going to try and remember that one!

shareI listened to 2 albums of 3DD pretty constantly for a couple of months while doing a big car build project, thinking this is great , barely any bad tracks here.

Third Eye Blind for me. Their debut recording really was fantastic (one of the few CDs that I wouldn't have to skip any tracks when listening to it).
