Have you seen this warning on TV?

https://i.postimg.cc/k53LfkvS/warning.jpg - Zoom in to see warning.

I was watching The Crow on Comet TV last night and this warning popped up on my screen during an action sequence and that warning stayed up during the whole scene. I've never seen that before.

reply

I've not seen it during actual scenes but I've seen it at the beginning of movies.

reply

Me too. That's why the warning surprised me.

reply

They're being extra, extra careful!

reply

Yeah, that was my fault.

Leave KOWALSKI alone! He is a treasure here.

reply

agreed! 50 years from now all people will remember about movie chat is KOWALSKI.

reply

Never seen it in a movie, at the start of a couple YouTube videos I think and that's it.

I'm gonna guess there's a setting somewhere to disable it within your stream provider?

reply

The movie was on Comet TV which is an over the air channel. There is nothing to disable.

reply

This is always something to disable : P

No. I only see warnings at the beginnings of films. They're usually unobtrusively in the top left-hand corner and I don't read them -- although I sometimes catch key words in the corner of my eye and say 'Oh, good: swearing, nudity and violence.'

Never seen one pop up midway through a film during the scene that contains the thing they're warning about. I would've thought that was too late. That's just... odd. I wonder if it's a mistake specific to the film or something Comet TV just do for some reason or other.

Huh.

reply

It's definitely strange and that warning is very annoying.

reply

They need to stop catering to every bizarre illness on the planet. If you can't bear it, turn it off. But don't annoy me with a hundred warnings about crap which has no relevancy to me or 99.9% of the population.

reply

I concur. The fact that the warning stayed on during the scene was very distracting.

reply

Reason number 73 for collecting physical media.
