Has anyone heard from Skavau? I noticed he’s been gone for a week. For years, he’s been around here, always posting and replying almost instantly, especially on the Politics board. I’ve had plenty of heated debates with him there, where I like to throw out controversial topics and defend my views in the most extreme way I can. Skavau was someone I would often clash with in those intense discussions. I would often troll him and make fun of him, and said some nasty and brutal things to him during our exchanges. But despite that, I do care about whether he’s okay. So, now that I’m off the Politics board and out of ‘villain’ mode, I just wanted to check in. Has anyone heard from him? Was he banned, or is something else going on?

Yes, he often called me a fascist, which I didn’t mind, but he was the one constantly reporting others in an effort to get them banned.

No, the topic here was a wellness check on Skavau. I made the post out of genuine concern, not to troll anyone. I specifically posted it in the General board, not Politics, to make it clear that I’m being serious and sincere, not starting a thread just for people to pile on Skavau.

If you’ve got nothing to contribute but petty insults, then do everyone a favor and keep it to yourself. Dick.

Yes, telling people they’re a joke and calling them a bozo is a real display of warmth and friendship. I didn’t realize we were still such great friends. If I remember correctly, we stopped being friends because you didn’t agree with my politics and the politically incorrect way I express them.

And people do give a shit about Skavau because they've been talking about his absence for a week. The problem is those threads on the Politics board turned into nothing more than a place for his critics to make fun of him and pile on. I wanted to start a new thread outside of Politics to simply ask if anyone has heard from him and if he’s okay. I also thought maybe he got banned, so I figured Mod5 might know what’s up.

That's like having a cruel, abusive, narcissistic ex-spouse that you fought with for 20 years, they leave the house in a huff and die in a car wreck way out in the boonies [so nobody even knows they're dead and in hell], and you don't notice they're missing for at least two weeks because you were enjoying the peace and quiet.

What can I say? Despite some intense sparring matches, I’ve developed a soft spot for the guy and just wanted to check in and make sure he's okay. And yes, I did enjoy our fights. Having my ideas challenged not only sharpens my perspective but also helps me refine my arguments. Plus, it gave me the chance to indulge in a bit of trolling and engage in some truly entertaining exchanges that were nothing short of comedy gold.

He came here for years and repeated "evidence? got a link? proof?" anytime someone gave an opinion he didn't like.

he was exposed in the summer when someone dropped loads of things from other social media, which in someways i dont agree with, any disagreement should stay on the thread and later the board. but he was in to all this creepy asian animation stuff with men being relationships with boys.

it's no surprise he went and ran away the very day trump won, people like that can't bare to believe that the rest of the world doesn't think the same way they do. mix that with the problems he clearly has and who knows. trump winning was too much.

Skavau is the maybe the only person i've ever seen online where even the people who side with him politically and ideology wise, think theres something wrong with him.
