Yes, I rejoiced at my son's wedding and my sister's wedding. They were two of the happiest days of my life. As far as I can remember I've enjoyed every wedding I've attended but at some I was a more distant spectator.
2. Cry at a personally important funeral?
No. The way grief hits me seems to be initial shock during the surreal time right after someone's death and then crying later when something reminds me of them.
3. Enjoy the various holidays but avoid certain family members?
I enjoy the holidays overall but they've changed a lot for me over the years since the death of my grandparents. There are aspects to holidays that can be hard. I enjoy getting together with family, though. Any family troublemakers no longer attend.
