Spaceballs

Apparently some people dislike this. I love this movie.

Rick Moranis was perfect.

A Different Casting choice I would have made: David Graaf as Major Asshole.

It's okay. I found a lot of the jokes a little too obvious. I prefer "Young Frankenstein" by far.

Pizza the Hut!

I like them the same.

I love this movie and have prob watched over 50 times now.

TO ME, in my teens, at the theater, it was ripping hilarious in its silliness.

Now, older, I understand why it was funny, but it just isn't funny at all to me NOW. It's a fun nostalgia moment, but I don't rewatch it.

But I truly apprciate what it did, how and why.

My favorite scene in the whole movie is when they whack the behind scenes crew guy, "Uuuuh... he did it!"

reply

It's not really funny because so many movies that use similar humor but in less family friendly ways make the impact of this less. There were just a few amusing parts in this really, but the Family Guy Star Wars parodies were 100x better than this in terms of funnynessitude.

reply

I disagree with Family Guy being better. I honestly hate that show. I purchased the first three seasons in 2006. It was awful. Since then, it hasn't been better. Seth McFarlane has his audience but I'm not in that group.

reply

Well I disagree with you disagreeing that Family Guy Star Wars parodies are better.

I suspect that you also think Caddyshack is funnier than Happy Gilmore, which having finally watched Caddyshack, I can say is categorically untrue.

reply

No. I agree with you there on Caddyshack.

reply

I still love it👍

‘I see your Schwartz is as big as mine, now let’s see how well you can handle it!’

WTF🤔

reply

My favorite Moranis scene might be him playing with his Spaceballs dolls.

Every scene with Dark Helmet is funny, though.
