The reality of X-ray vision

We heard about X-ray vision in superhero movies growing up. If someone had x-ray vision they could see through someone's clothes to their underwear or even naked bodies. But if you truly have x-ray vision, don't you actually see through to their bones and organs?

If you had it, how would you use said "gift"? Could you adjust the depth of the x-ray? Could you turn it off? Would you take it upon yourself to begin medically diagnosing people? "Hey. You should get that checked out."

You see my conundrum.

Well, if enemy of James Bond Mr. Osata can kindly use it to warn him about the dangers of smoking...

reply

It's interesting you bring up James Bond because I was just thinking yesterday that I had not watched those movies and that I might bring that up on this board someday. Since I know nothing currently of James Bond or his enemies I can only conclude that Mr. Osata was part bad guy and part radiologist.

reply

Mr. Osata was part bad guy and part radiologist.

lol

reply

In thinking more about it, I think there's only one case where x-ray vision wouldn't be totally scandalous or a HIPAA violation: with scratch-off lottery tickets. I would totally want it for that.

reply

I JUST WANNA SEE NAKED PEOPLE.πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

reply

Then I think you would need to sign up for the low depth X-ray vision plan. Get high depth and you might have to start complimenting your crushes on their spleens.

reply

Who doesn't? 🀣

reply

THIS GUY I KNOW NAMED VINCE...HE IS MISSING HIS PENIS...SO NAKED PEOPLE ONLY MAKE HIM ANGRY.πŸ˜‰

reply

If you could turn it on and off, I'm heading to Vegas and hitting the Blackjack table.

reply

You could even get really detailed about how you use it, like when you look down turn it on so you can see through the cards and then when you look up turn it off so you can't see the boobies.

reply

Would x-ray vision work that way though?

reply

now you're thinkingπŸ‘

reply

I admit that due to my short attention span I did a bit of fast forwarding, but it does not appear from my brief interaction with that video that X-ray vision was a positive experience for him.

reply

Watching that video wasn't a positive experience for me either, so my opinion is that X-ray vision is a "gift" that should not exist in this world.

If I had X-Ray vision I would play this song on my ear buds every time I creeped on titties and asses!

Lol, thanks for giving us ladies a heads up!πŸ™ƒ

reply

Hhhmmm.

Well my first thought is, would I be able to see the other side of playing cards?

If so, I'd immediately head to the casino in Pittsburgh.

reply

Sounds like a plan! 😁

reply

Technically wrong part of the electromagnetic spectrum. In 1998 Sony had a infrared camera called the NightShot that could see through clothes.

reply

Yikes! For real? That sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen.

And yeah, the premise of x-ray vision in general seems a bit flawed. I think it could cause as many problems as advantages.

reply

Superman could control it.

Better question is, everytime he uses it, is he giving someone cancer?

reply

Apparently (per Google) he only used his x-ray vision to look through walls and objects, not to look through people, so no cancer risk. (Unless of course there was somebody hiding inside the wall and well, you know as well as I do if someone's hiding in a wall they're up to no good.)

Google lies.
