Rocky Horror Picture Show question

As is tradition around here we are watching this movie right now and Frankenfurter just sang Sweet Transvestite. In singing to Brad and Janet about their broken down car he says "maybe the rain isn't really to blame so I'll remove the cause but not the symptom".

That line has always confused me. Does anyone know what he means?

I assume it means he will provide shelter from the rain but they had been brought to him, not because of car troubles , but because they needed his help to loosen up.

I did thanks it went by a bit unnoticed as it usually does here down south, I forgot completely last night actually lol Early night and no Shining for me 😔

😀 And I can sing every song! It wouldn't be Halloween without it. Now we're watching The Shining. Nothing will ever oust these two movies from Halloween at our house.
