For the majority of the time that one would work well but then there's always... the couple skate. I'm not sure there was any greater event in my sixth grade life than the couple skate. I'd stand there waiting to be asked, butterflies in stomach. A boy and I would awkwardly go out onto the rink skating through a song with lyrics much deeper than our 6th grade minds could compute, not saying a word, not making eye contact, but holding hands. It was everything.

I can't think of any more. One remembers going full throttle, weaving in and out of other skaters if either of the two songs I posted played.
