I wasn’t aware of it back when it was released but only more recently.
shareMy daughter, in grade school, had some version of that where groups had to make decisions on provisions & routes, etc. She got a lot out of it. Seemed like a fun, interactive, immersive & challenging way to engage kids in the realities faced by the pioneers.
When I was in grade school they mainly droned at us, we read dry 'social studies' books, and we 'wrote reports' cribbed out of the World Book Encyclopedia. She had a much better experience. I hope all kids do.
