I was thinking of doing Monday Mst3k Movie Club if anyone is down. There are plenty of MST3K movies on Tubi to keep this going for a while.

How do you winterize a house?

Check caulking, blow out sprinklers, turn off water flow to hose lines, add wire mesh to rodent holes, check roofing for weak shingles, and seal cracks in cement to avoid crack increases.

Sheds need to be swept and cleaned. Motor equipment needs to drain fuel and oil changed. Animal enclosures need wind protection, and non-essential items need to be stored.

The only thing I job out is the roof, I’m no fan of heights 😳

They keep trying to sell me solar panels and I have to keep explaining that I live in the woods and big ass branches fall on my roof all the time.

I've been wondering about that because of the squirrel activity here recently. Mentioned that in passing to a maintenance guy working here who claimed to be part Indian. And I did so without having consulted The Old Farmer's Almanac, something I've been a devotee of for decades. It was just something I sensed. He just nodded in quiet agreement.

Ooh. My woodpile got insane this year.

One Ash knocked over caused a 5 tree chain reaction.

12 hours of fire only took 12% of the wood.
