Peaceful sounds

Life is full of stress coming from every direction. It's good to be able to find those things that bring us peace and pay attention to them. What is a sound that brings you peace?

I'll start: night time sounds like crickets and singing frogs

The sound of the sea gently lapping against the shoreline πŸ–οΈ

Agreed. I've tried listening to ocean sounds on YouTube and it's just not the same. I need the whole experience, the wind on my face, the salty air, the sound of the ocean, the squawk of the seagulls... in person it's one of the most relaxing things on earth.

I am blessed to live only 5 minutes from the beach.

reply

You are blessed indeed! Where I live I'm surrounded by flowers and trees and that's a good thing too. πŸ™‚

I like both Kraftwerk (the little I know from them) and Enya. That Enya song was especially peaceful. I listened to the whole thing and will keep it to listen to again.

If this album doesn't bring you peace, there's no hope for you:

Well, maybe there's a little bit hope.

Well Parker, may I call you Parker? I don't want to call you bot. My mother would be very proud of you. Neil Diamond is her favorite singer but because I had to hear him endlessly throughout my childhood, honestly well, he's kind of become a joke between us. I'm not his biggest fan although I might have been if it weren't for her overplaying his music. But as a 10-year-old I did put on a velvet and sequin dress and dance around my living room like a Solid Gold dancer to Love on the Rocks more times than I care to admit.

reply

I grew up with him in my ears - he's awesome.

I also put on a sequin dress and danced around but that had nothing to do with Neil Diamond and is quite frankly none of your business.

I used to live across the street from a corn field and fell in love with the sound it made when the wind would blow. Adding to that, hearing the irrigation system watering the field was another soothing sound. Both were especially calming at night when the sights weren't competing with the sounds, and I really missed them when I moved.

reply

That does sound very peaceful and is a sound I've never heard before, but I can imagine from both a sight and sound perspective it would be a lovely place to be.
