What was the last "meh" film or show you watched?

Something so bland & forgettable that you could doze off & not miss much.

I streamed A Quiet Place: Day One last night with my 2 little brothers & we were bored outta my mind.

Posted my review on their page. Didn't even pay for it & I felt that we were owed a refund. πŸ˜†

You know you've messed up when the best thing about your alien invasion movie is the cat.

3 Body Problem

I wanted so much to like it but the other shows I've watched lately put it to shame. I couldn't get drawn into it enough to care about the characters.

reply

Same problem with the characters in the movie I watched. There wasn't anyone to root for.

The cat spent most of the movie tryna get into dangerous situations so that the characters could get killed off.

And I was really hoping he'd succeed. πŸ˜†

Slow Horses. Probably a minority opinion, but I thought it was extremely slack.

It's on my watch list. Mostly cause of Gary Oldman.

reply

Well I agree with you on this one. I wanted to like this one too but I just... don't.

Blondie of the Follies 1932

Furiosa

Really? Not only did I absolutely love it on the big screen, I just got my Bluray copy in the mail.

Oh well, to each their own.

Trap (2024) - Not one of M. Night's worst definitely one of his middle movies I thought but Josh Harnett was good

reply

Just watched a pitch meeting for that recently. It was hilarious.

Glad I missed out on the movie though...

reply

This isn't new, by any means, but, as a Tarantino fan, I thought 'Th' Hateful Eight' was dreck. By far, the worst of his films.

reply

That was pretty lackluster for me. Not bland, just disappointing.

Stacked cast, good plot, ok movie.

reply

Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice really disappointed me.

reply

Is it by any chance 'nostalgia bait?'

Ya know, "'Member this, 'Member that"

reply

Sorry. Don’t understand the question.

reply

Like is it a film that relies solely on your nostalgia rather than good writing or developing the characters like the original?

Like a lot of "legacy sequels" just feed on the fact that you're nostalgic for the thing instead of doing something fresh withe story.
