Not a whole lot, come to think of it, and all of them fantasy: a few passages in Lord of the Rings and the ending of Gormenghast are all I can remember right now.

"Roots" when a very old and frail Chicken George died by falling from his chair into the fireplace. The fact that it was a true story is the reason it hit me so hard. What a horrific way for anyone to die and I couldn't get the image out of my head.

When I pointed to him his palms slipped slightly, leaving greasy sweat streaks on the wall, and he hooked his thumbs in his belt.
