Reddit

Anybody here hangout on reddit? I'm on reddit a lot, kinda hate it. But, in some small subredditts you can find some half normal people. I like the fact you can get responses quick. Sometimes it seems dead around here, especially on the specific movie boards you actually want to talk about.

I've been using reddit for about 16 years, which feels pretty frightening to type out. It's got way worse over the past few years, becoming more censorious, immature, full of bots and reposts, dominated by US politics and lacking in content. It used to be a great place to waste time and learn stuff, but now I come away from it irritated. I used to spend hours there a day and never get bored but now I close it after 20 minutes. Probably a good thing.

On the other hand, I think the nesting structure of comments is the best on social media, and you can truly find a subreddit for anything. There's a lot of expertise there too, if you can find it.

There is a lot of perfectly good free advice on reddit, if you know how to find it.

No, but there have been times I have Googled something and an answer on Reddit turns up in my search results.

Screw reddit and their stupid ban-happy mods.

I think its great. You get a wide variety, and good representation of people with some wit & sense.

I just created an account there about two weeks ago to answer somebody’s question about a job posting since I recognized the company from the job description but other than that no.
