No there is whole art to it. You can't post Breaking Bad because of copyright. However you can post clips of Breaking Bad because that is allowed. So what reactors do is they string together a bunch of edited clips and react to those. Now this is where the art comes in. If you are a good editor, you will select the kinds of clips and edit them in such a way that it manages to keep a good flow and it feels like you watched the entire episode even though it has been cut down to like 15 minutes. Most reactors have shitty edits where it actually does just feel like a bunch of clips stringed together and then it sucks. The other thing is the reactors themselves. Some reactors are annoying. They feel the need to constantly talk and make stupid comments based on whatever pops into their heads. These reactors suck, but for some reason they still manage to get a lot of views. Then there are the good reactors. These are people who don't talk too much, but give some commentary where appropriate, and also have genuine emotions that they express well. If you are lucky enough to find these kinds of reactors than it's awesome. Watching their reaction videos feels like you're watching a show with good friends and it allows you to vicariously experience the show for the first time again through their eyes.

I actually enjoy some reaction videos, I prefer music reactions though. I follow a few vocal coaches who react to live performances and their insights on technique are pretty cool.
shareI used to think so too. But once you find a good reactor reacting to some of your favorite shows you'll understand the appeal. It breathes new life into TV shows/movies that you've watched a 100 times. It allows you to experience them for the first time through somebody else's eyes. You get to hear other people's perspectives and feelings about something that you feel passionate about.
But you have to experience it for yourself to really understand the value of it.
For me it started when I once was curious to see a black person's reaction to Pink Floyd music. People who have been listening to nothing but shit hip-hop and rap music. I wanted to watch their reaction as they hear songs like Shine on you Crazy Diamond for the first time. All those beautiful soundscapes created by Pink Floyd. Well I found some and they were great, moving, sometimes funny, but always interesting. Then I looked up a few iconic scenes from shows like Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones to see people's reaction to those iconic events. And then I found a few good reactors and would watch entire series with them. It's fun. I usually like to watch stuff with my friends and family in real life, but they have all already watched everything that I watched. Reaction videos lets you find people that are watching something you like for the first time.
