is it WRONG to enjoy food?

is it WRONG to enjoy food?

some eat for health, some because it taste good, some are addicted.

I enjoy food. Too much sometimes. Is that wrong? your body wants it...

some celebrate food with parties. is this enjoyment leading to world wide obesity?

reply

What's wrong is subjective. With that said, I only find it wrong to waste food.

Shut up and eat your asparagus.

reply

Does your pee smell of asparagus afterwards - mine does.

reply

A delicious veggie with one stinky side-effect.

reply

Not just me then, lol.

reply

No, not uncommon at all.

reply

Asparagus causes my pee to smell funny. Apparently this is true of everybody, it is a question of whether your sense of smell can detect it. Google 'asparagus pee'

reply

No, but my BO smells like a Double Double to me for some reason.

reply

Everyone should be able to enjoy something.

Just know that those of us who can eat a five year old burrito, think you foodies are a bit of a hoot though.

It is not always wise to listen to what your body wants, as it is always preparing for the next starvation catastrophe in your Stone Age family.

reply

Mines pretty reliable , I eat when it tells me , which turns out to be less than the traditional 3 times a day
It gets awkward if Im booked for a meal somewhere , i have to start planning (fasting) in order to time it right to be hungry!

Food is there to be enjoyed. Also, food has a positive effect on the body, meaning if you eat the food your body wants, it will make you happy. Every person knows what their body wants and it wants good and nutritious food. A happy body, a happy person.

It's not wrong to enjoy, unless it's too the point of excess. Your body will crave unhealthy foods the same way it will crave any addictive substance. It's up to you to control it. You can drink and enjoy alcohol, but you can also drink too much and become and alcoholic. It's the same concept with food. Although its maybe even worse, because you can give up other addictive substances, but you can never quit eating.

I remember Jack LaLanne once saying, "If it tastes good, spit it out." I never took him seriously after that, at least when it comes to dietary advice. He may have been referring to sweets only, I don't know, but he should have been more clear. He is a fitness icon but could at times be a bit kooky.

we are program to live in a natural environment, where the food is scarce, but now with technology, there is no more famines at least in the modern civilized world. You must avoid over consumption if you don't wanna be a fat ass.
