Unpopular opinion

I don't like Batman Returns.

What's yours?

reply

I don't care much for Batman Returns, though I still appreciate it more than the previous entry. Overall, Batman Forever is the most faithful character portrayal of the Burton/Schumacher series.

Real unpopular opinion: Tina and the Professor (1994) is a tour de force of auteur filmmaking.

I'm probably the only one who just didn't feel Val Kilmer had that look to be BATMAN.. He just didn't.. I can't figure this out what I'm missing.. Bruce Wayne is very distinguishing character and Kilmer with his dirty blond hair just didn't fit and then don't get me started on ROBIN 🙄

Batman is cast by the jawline, not the hairline.

Also, name a better Batman actor at taking off his glasses:

I haven't seen any of the Harry Potter movies. I didn't read any of the books too.

reply

How is that an opinion?

reply

I was in denial when this came out.. I was in the Navy at the time and really enjoyed BATMAN with Michael Keaton, so at 1st, I willed myself to really like it and was very impressed with Michelle Pfeiffer, but after enough time has passed, I can't figure out why Burton made the Penguin the way he did instead of staying more accurate with the character?? Oswald Cobblepot is a pretty smart character and not some fish eating freak

reply

It's Tim Burton. He wanted the Penguin to be just like the goth version of a penguin.
I thought it was a little too gross.

reply

totally with ya

along with the other batman films

... and all the other superhero films made post '85

reply

Super hero films really took over the glut industry from zombie movies.

reply

oh yeah! I hadnt noticed the tsunami of zombie films had receded , i was getting pretty annoyed with those too . I love a good post apocalyptic world has ended movie but in that era they were all polluted by zombies making the it less "realistic"

"End of the world" should be enough of a storyline on its own without having to cheapen it with zombies

reply

I like the Star Wars prequels.

Shane Gillis is an annoying goofball masquerading as a comedian.

reply

Tarantino is the most overrated director ever.

Love james bond movies, did not like goldfinger tho

reply
