basically would be nice to see more films helmed by mature ladies who’ve had years in the game.

10-15 years ago I might have said Tom Cruise.
For the primary reason he has worked with the best. Scorcese, Speilberg, Kubrick, De Palma, etc.
One would think he absorbed quite a bit from those masters.
At this point though, nah. He's too weird. Who knows what he would come up with if he tried to direct.
