shareMay I ask, have you seen any of the following 12 films Kowalski, you can answer yes and no to each one and please see if you could inform me what you thought or how you would rate them, thank you.
1). Raw Deal (1986) - a mid 80s actioner with Arnold Schwarzenegger directed by John Irvin
2). I Will Walk Like a Crazy Horse (1973) - surreal grotesque supernatural allegorical horror fantasy from Spanish but also fluent in French strange movie maestro and colleague of another filmmaker Alejandro Jodorowsky - Fernando Arrabal
3). Riot (1996) - an OK 90s PM Entertainment-oriented and riot-themed action movie with Gary Daniels in leading role
4). The Glimmer Man (1996) - Steven Seagal actioner that is mostly 5/10 middle of the road, an odd cross-over between Se7en and Lethal Weapon with Above the Law and possibly a bit of Red Heat around it as well.
5). Copkiller (1983) (aka "Order of Death") - seen the uncut especially version of this Italian/American police drama/hostage thriller with Harvey Keitel almost preparing for his later "Bad Lieutenant" (1992) role and with Sex Pistols' John Lydon (aka Johnny Rotten) in it in a key role of a mysterious suspect? And any thoughts?
6). Being John Malkovich (1999) - great late 90s surreal supernatural meta drama, 9/10 from me easily.
7). Playing With Fire (Le Jeu Avec Le Feu) (1975) - one of my all time favorite cult films and films ever, 10/10. An obscure, surreal, erotic and disturbing French black comedy drama involving kidnappings, forced prostitution, questions of identity, patriarchy and feminism, murder, perversions, fantasy versus reality etc. From the late acclaimed writer turned filmmaker Alain Robbe-Grillet, who also himself scripted "Last Year at Marienbad" (1960) by Resnais before turning into a director of artistic exploitation movies.
8). Someone to Die For (1995) - the much talked about by me over here 90s direct to video Canadian/American psychological police thriller (not to be confused with "To Die For" also fro
from 1995 with Nicole Kidman) and starring Corbin Bernsen (of "The Dentist" (1996) and other fames), directed by Clay Borris of Quiet Cool (1986) fame. Seen this one yet, and if so, any thoughts?
9). From Dusk Till Dawn 2: Texas Blood Money (1999) - the much panned and maligned direct to video sequel to the classic 1996 vampire horror flick, directed by Scott Spiegel and with Robert (T2) Patrick in leading role? Its actually an OK 6/10 3-star movie if you don't expect TOO much or take it too seriously, but yes way inferior to the first and definitely the weakest of the trilogy and quite flawed, but not too bad overall.
10). Executive Target (1997). A 90s PM-Entertainment actioner with Michael Madsen forced to assist in kidnapping of a US President?
11). Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me (1992) - a great and underrated prequel by the legendary Davod Lynch to the mega classic TV series
and 12). Romeo Is Bleeding (1993) - very good early 90s noir crime flick.
