Your most sad, touching, moving, emotional, crying scenes in a movie...

What scenes in any movie have MOVED you the most?
Let's skip all horror style stuff that is just shock value, stick to emotionally, heartfelt stuff. Things that made you cry or aw, or just FEEL all the feels.

The Abyss: when they bring her back to life

Ghost: when we can see him at the end

Always: Pete's speech near the end

L.A. Story: that final Enya song scene

Bruce Almighty: when Jennifer is pray crying

Vanilla Sky: when they discuss his suicide

Gattaca: the ending rocket launch burn up

that kind of stuff

reply

Did all of these scenes personally move you, or did you crib notes from ChatGPT?

You cried at the hopeful end of Gattaca and not any scenes prior? I'm just trying to understand the examples you've presented and how they emotionally effected you in particular. Feel free to elaborate.

No one wants to hear about the movies I bring up time and time again, but for the less offensive picks the ending of The Truth About Cats and Dogs gets me.

reply

Oh wow. I totally forgot about that movie. Was playing when I worked at the theatre. Saw that ending so many times.

reply

TRUTH ABOUT CATS AND DOGS IS AWESOME...I LOVE THAT MOVIE.

reply

The Truth about Cats and Dogs is a good choice. I still feel bad about the Violin Bow.

reply

I don't AI.

I typed those in myself looking at my movie list. Everyone is different, but for whatever reason those scenes really get me.
BRAVEHEART is also a personal favorite, but I can't for the life of me recall exactly which scene tears me up. Guess I'll have to watch it again now.

reply

For me, it's when WW sees Murron smiling at him while he's on the rack being quartered.

reply

Ouch yeah!!!
I LOVE this movie, so many great parts in it, but I can't specifically pick just one scene from it. I just recall it is very MOVING overall. I gotta watch it again

Great pick! I know from previous posts that you like that movie a lot. The ending elevates the story to a whole other level.

My other pick would be the end of The Kid Detective, but I can never seem to find the end clip Where he finds her.

E.T. - the death and rebirth of E.T. And the farewell scene

My Girl - the funeral scene

reply

I cried so hard at the funeral scene when she's going on about his glasses that the people in front of me at the theatre asked if I was okay.
