...Uh, no white Christmas this year. Our temps have been unusually warm, so the snow we've had hasn't stayed longer than a few days.

We're going to have a wet Christmas this year. Forecast to rain all day, with temps right around 50℉. Crazy.

I have the same problem... no snow and temperatures way above normal. This is Halloween weather, not Christmas. Maybe I should put a jack-o'-lantern on my front steps.

A white Christmas is a must for me, but global warming is ruining things. In the past, snow by Christmastime was practically a given but now it is becoming hit or miss. In recent years the trend has been to have a nice snow cover in December but the week before Christmas there would be an unexpected warm-up, melting it by the holiday. This year (2023) there was a trace of snow a couple of weeks ago which was gone two days later.

Anyone who thinks global warming is a hoax can talk to me.

I think there's one chunk of snow left in my yard - left by someone shoveling the public front sidewalk, I think. Today has been cloudy, foggy, and very dismal with on-and-off rain much of the day.

What’s the latest?

It has been raining since yesterday, and still coming down now. I can't help but wonder how much snow we'd have if it was 25 degrees colder than it is now (50℉, 10℃). I imagine the nighttime news will mention it. I sort of don't mind the rain. At least I don't have to shovel!

This has been a very strange year weather-wise. I worry about the farmers here. Drought through the summer, and with no snow, drought this winter. Last winter we had record snow and still had an extremely dry summer. I hope Mother Nature blesses us with snow aplenty in 2024.

I hope your trip is going well!
