Who wears an Apple Watch?

I personally think they are the ugliest thing I have ever seen and remind me of the Bert and Ernie watch my son wore when he was young.

However, my friends all think I should get one primarily because of the fall alert feature and while I don't disagree with them about that, I can't seem to convince myself to buy one.

I have a friend who lives alone and just fell outside of her house - she didn't have her recently purchased Apple Watch on because she was dressed up for a party. Now she is having a total shoulder replacement on Wednesday.

That's kind of my point - if I buy one for that purpose, then I have to be resigned to wear it all of the time and I can't bring myself around to give up my nice watches.

I do not, however, my wife and daughter both have one.

They remind me of Dick Tracy’s watch: -

LOL - exactly.

I'm shocked that nobody here wears an Apple watch or doesn't even have an opinion about them.

Too expensive.

Apple products are far to limiting to me. Everything else can do tons more, so I don't have time in my life to waste on apple trying to make work arounds.

I use and support some apple on the tech level and they work just fine and I respect that. But for my needs, far far far too limiting.

Not me, but I do wear an apple on a string around my neck in case I want a snack.

Hmm, privacy issues a side, why do I think having signals blasted to my wrist ain't such a good idea?

I read something just yesterday that Apple has to stop selling a couple of its models. Apparently, there's a lawsuit over Apple's stealing and using patents that belong to Samsung.

Not a fan. I have a smart phone and dont need another device strapped to my body. Plus, I enjoy wearing my nice watches as well. If you're worried about falling though, look into a medical alert pendant. A family member of mine had one and was put to good use more than once, due to having a bad hip/knee.
