Women, Black and Younger Americans are the most likely to have tattoos. 38% of women have at least one tattoo compared to 27% of men. 8 in 10 Americans say tattoos are more accepted in American society. Sometimes I feel out of place with no ink but I'm not changing now. This articles really has a ton of stats about it.

I think it depends on where you go. Some places have higher concentrations of people with tats than those who don't, and other places are the opposite.
