Is it weird to eat at a restaurant alone?

I'm an introvert and sometimes I want to go alone, yet I don't want "strange looks".

**EDIT*. I don't mean fast-food places. I mean establishments where you sit down and have to wait longer for the food to arrive (i.e. family-run restaurants).

At a table with full service, yeah, kind of strange. The bar is a better choice when flying solo.

Nope, I've eaten alone at "sit-down" restauarants several times before.

Why?
At least you can flirt with the waitress them.
I used to get a lot of work done with my laptop while waiting for food to arrive.
