Have you ever taken a hot air balloon ride?

You should! My family rode in one many years ago and it was great, but take note of two things:

1 - Go early in the morning on a clear day, because then the balloon will get better lift into the sky. If you go any later, the balloon won't go as high.

2 - Don't let an old ex-hippie who never had formal driver's ed training take you there. You'll get so motion-sick on the way over you'll forget why you went in the first place.

No. Not properly. I've been up in one, but it was tethered the whole time.

If you have a camera, make sure it's strapped to your wrist and in your pocket when you land.

No. One of my brothers used to have one. A few times I was part of his chase crew along with my dad and two of my other brothers. The SOB never offered us even a short ride to thank us for helping him all those times.
