I have only a little bit of vodka left, but it's enough for tonight.

reply

God I wish I was there. Wine is no substitute for Vodka, the elixir of the gods.

reply

I don't drink wine. Yes, I've had it a few times, but it's not my thing when it comes to alcohol.

reply

I drink what works for me. If calories didn't matter I'd have white russians 24/7.

I think The Omen, The Thing, Halloween, Dawn Of The Dead, the Fly, The Crazies and Evil Dead were all good to excellent horror remakes.

The Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street remakes were not very memorable at all.

The best vodka I ever tasted was Chopin Potato Vodka.

The best vodka for the money I ever had was probably Sobieski. New Amsterdam and Svedka also good choices.

Does Uber-eats deliver alcohol where you are?

I actually don't drink but I'm seriously addicted to caffeine and I'm on my 5th and last energy drink of the day. Last as in, it's the last one left in my fridge.

I don't feel like leaving again now that I'm home. I might order a case from uber-eats. That's just pathetic.

reply

Yikes! Ease up on the caffeine if you can, man. I've known too many students to name who have dropped kidney stones in their mid-20s.

reply

Oh I'm 44 I just had my physical and my kidneys are good as new.

You're right though I need to cut down.

I've been guzzling caffeine since high-school and it's bound to catch up with me.

reply

which energy drinks do you like?

most really didnt do anything for me until i had a Redline. damn that stuff scared me. i couldnt sleep that night after i drank one. that one really affected me.

I think you've posted this before. She's quite good.
Gotta wonder where the kid wound up, it's very scary out there.

There's a new Billy Idle in the neighborhood. This time he's across the street from me. I believe he's a renter because he's been around only a couple of weeks. I call him Billy Idle because he has a loud pickup truck and sits in it with the engine idling for at least five to ten minutes.

It's a little better than the original Billy Idle, who had an even louder truck that he would let idle for half an hour, long enough for the exhaust fumes to waft my way. 🙄 I just hope the new Billy Idle doesn't have a winter habit of idling for a long time to warm up his truck. The noise is annoying. Low, rumbling noises really bother me, for some reason.

You have to move to AZ, I'm in the townhouses, quiet....

I lived in Arizona for eight years. Been there, done that. I prefer having four distinct seasons. In my opinion, Arizona has just two seasons: hot, and not as hot. 🤭

reply

agreed...I might be onto to that...I love Vermont and NH.

I think I heard this Billy's new single - "Sittin' with Myself"

reply

Too funny! 🤣

oh jeez. there was a guy near me that had a suped up camaro and he'd rev the engine something ridiculous in the middle of the night. thankfully he's gone now. dang i just had a ptsd flashback reading your comment! :)

the people that annoy me i call "the watchers". they sit on their porch just watching everything you do. i cant do normal yard work without feeling eyes burning through me.

reply

I share your feelings about being watched when I'm outside. At least, in my fenced backyard, the only person who can see me is a nextdoor neighbor, but only if she's upstairs in her art studio, and I figure she's busy doing her thing anyway. When I'm out front, I feel like the entire neighborhood is watching...and judging, probably.

Oh, and I live just a couple of houses away from a busy street. I get annoyed by the OAs - what I call obnoxious accelerators. They're people who drive loud cars and trucks and are determined to make as much noise as possible when they start up from the nearby stop sign. Not cool, in my book. But then, I also have a neighbor who is in his 50s but dresses and acts like he's 17. 🙄 Whatever.

Oh, and here, that Camaro is red and lives just up the block.

My dump truck HAS to warm up for at least 20 minutes and a good cool down for the turbo at the end of the day for around 5 minutes. Its pretty loud but I'm going to get a muffler for it. Thankfully I live in a rural area. Still, I think my neighbor across the road can hear it, hopefully faintly. The muffler will hopefully quiet it down for those 5:30am starts!

reply

I appreciate that you do think of your neighbors. I don't understand folks who are so inconsiderate of those around them.

What's the boring TV show? I hate not having anything decent to watch. I finally took the leap and started Yellowstone, after having watched and enjoying the prequel 1923.
