I just purchased this book on classic nursery rhymes at Jewel Food Store. Here is one I never heard before. " Red at night, Sailors delight". "Red in the morning, sailors take warning.". At first, I was shocked, since I assumed the poem was hinting at social diseases. But after researching on the Web, the red is referring to weather conditions. The sky was not mentioned in the book's version, hence my sordid conclusion. Glad to know the true meaning.

yeah but wells are not generally dug on the high ground .
I saw a funny cartoon about this couple of days ago - with the same actual Jack n jill!

cant remember it properly though .... you had to be there 🤣

I recall on Sesame Street in the 70's, Jill gave Jack a hard time about her falling down the hill, it was funny!
