Tom Cruise is impressive.

It's impressive he's able to pull off all those stunts in his late 50s and early 60s.

Tom Cruise is a true movie star and the fact that he performs his own stunts is just a bonus.

reply

I agree.
The man is A List all the way.

reply

Even though he's a bit of a nut in real life. Remember when he jumped on Oprah's couch?

--Michael D. Clarke

reply

Yeah, he comes off kooky sometimes, that’s for sure!

reply

Yeah i can easy see past that stuff in light of his career and own-stunt-doing

but is he still a full member of that wacky church?

reply

HE IS THE FACE OF THE DEAD SCIENCE FICTION WRITER'S CREEPER FRAUD CLUB.

reply

His height isn’t.

reply

I BET WHEN HE IS IN THE SHOWER HE LOOKS LIKE BEN STILLER.

reply

How dare you, sir! Lord Cruise is 12 feet 6 inches tall. Minimum.

reply

You know that's fake because Tom Cruise doesn't allow other people to be filmed in the same shot as him while he's running.

reply

I did not know that.

reply

lol I always assumed he made that demand so that you wouldn't be able to see how fast his little legs have to move to be able to run at the same speed as the other people in the scene.

reply

True 🤣👍

reply

The last true movie star. And I can't think of anyone who has worked with more legendary directors.

reply

You can't?

reply

No, I don't think any actor comes close.

The legends:
Stanley Kubrick
Martin Scorsese
Steven Spielberg
Paul Thomas Anderson
Oliver Stone
Ridley Scott
Brian DePalma
Francis Ford Coppola

Different tier:
Rob Reiner
Tony Scott
Ron Howard
Bryan Singer
Sidney Pollack
Neil Jordan
Camerone Crowe
Barry Levinson
Robert Redford
Michael Mann

reply

Hell of a list right there, I never noticed that!

reply

I can't think of anyone who comes close.

reply

No, I think your’e spot on, he’s had an epic career and shows no signs of slowing down.

Damn, we should join Scientology, it sure works for Tom😄!

reply

Leo DiCaprio comes close

reply

He's got some good ones, and maybe he'll get to Tom level when he's his age.

reply

Wow, guy has had one hell of a career!

reply

This is why I laugh when people say he isn't a good actor. If that many good directors wanted to work with him, he's gotta be doing something right.

reply

Anyone who says he's not a good actor should just watch Collateral & then Tropic Thunder.

Two of his absolute best performances. So freaking fantastic!

reply

Edward Zwick did a hell of a job directing Last Samurai.

reply

I always enjoy his movies with the exception of Vanilla Sky.

reply

Why? Too weird?

reply

I hate movies where I have to watch them a second time to figure them out. Yes - it was just plain weird for my taste.

reply

The weirdest thing I thought was radiohead's oddest albums on display most of the time lol

But then again I really like kid a and amnesiac so...

Mission: IMPOSSIBLE VII deserved to do better than it did and deserved IMAX over Barbie. When you see Cruise perform his stunts in these movies, they should be in IMAX.. I understand Nolan shot Oppenheimer with IMAX Cameras, but seriously, neither this nor Barbie deserved to be in IMAX or MI:7

'Makes it much less impressive than the stunts from the 70s and 80s with no such CGI interference.'

Remember this 'corkscrew' car jump over the river in The Man with the Golden Gun? Done for real, as you see it, in one take!

Truly amazing. And that sound effect really was a silly idea.

reply

It definitely was (on both counts).

reply

Awesome! And the person who made the video is totally right about the soundtrack.

reply

👍

He looks better than nic cage. I think cage is older. Cage is starting to look droopy like paul mcartney.
