Back in the early 2000’s I used to do a lot of reading on a site called “Moreorless : heroes & killers of the 20th century.” I’ve been trying to do a search for it now and I’m coming up with nothing.
Can any of you search engine experts help me find this site? I think I’m remembering the name correctly.

So you've got the name right.
This https://www.mouthshut.com/review/Moreorless-au-com-review-sttppslmt has a post Heroes and Killers... containing a 2005 reference to a web address Moreorless.au.com, but that comes up
'This site can’t be reached
moreorless.au.com’s server IP address could not be found.'
so maybe it's just not there anymore.
