Woke was originally used as a way for people to pat themselves on the back for reading in to things, and noticing the racism. Anyone can notice overt racism, but these days most of it is subtle. If you were able to see what other people couldn’t, you were woke. That doesn’t mean racism is actually there, you can read in to anything, which is why it became a joke.
The right wing meaning of woke is when identity politics are prioritized above everything else. It’s really that simple. The left is trying really hard to pretend that they don’t understand, because they want it to be right wing version of what is a woman, but it’s not, and you know exactly what we are talking about.
So why do so many here act as though 'Woke' is Leftist? Does the Right believe that being alert to sexism, prejudice and discrimination is a bad thing? Or does the Right believe that sexism, prejudice and discrimination don't exist in the United States?
As far as the original definition goes, just because you view the world through a lease of racism doesn’t mean that it’s actually there. You can see it in anything if you look hard enough. Just because people claim to be more alert than others to racism, doesn’t mean that they were right about it.
As far as the current definitions woke is racism, sexism discrimination etc. Hiring practices, or whatever we are applying this to should be based on merit, not the color of your skin, or what you have between your legs.
To your last, on a systemic level it doesn’t exist, and it’s already against the law. The only laws that legally allow discrimination, favor minorities such as affirmative action.
