There are a few good posters here and the occasional good discussion, but there are lots of garbage posters and stupid discussions.

Did anyone manage to spot who this poster was before they deleted their account? Not sure about people who complain about silly threads. It is an entertainment based forum, it shouldn't even have a political board.

shareOtter won't thank me for saying this, but there is NO need for such rudeness. And Otter has a point when she calls out the creepiness of posting multiple posts regarding underage girls. Defending that 'right' isn't a hill one should want to die on.

If you want to find good discussions find some that are over 10 years old.
Today it's all right-wing nut rants, nasty comments about women or parts of their anatomy, reviving hero-worshipping discussions about horrible dictators, and other such empty-headed nonsense.
Originally IMDB had some pretty interesting stuff. The more garbage there is the less good discussions can be found, and when it is virtually all garbage even if there is some intelligent back and forth it is hard to find.
