Rickman is featured on today's Google homepage.

Read this interesting fact about his famous voice...

Rickman was born with a tight jaw, contributing to the deep tone of voice and languid delivery for which he would become famous. Rickman himself said that a vocal coach told him he had a "spastic soft palate".

Google dedicated a doodle to English actor Alan Rickman to mark 36 years of his iconic performance in 'Les Liaisons Dangereuses', a Broadway play for which he earned a Tony nomination and was instrumental in launching his career.

Oh, that's cool. I always felt he wasn't respected enough when he was alive.

He was one of the best of his era. I know he'll mostly be remembered for the Harry Potter films and Die Hard, but his performance in Galaxy Quest is one of my all-time favorites.

He was a great actor and his voice and delivery were so unique. "Languid" is the perfect word for it.

"Turn in Harry Potter or you will be counted as e...........qually guilty."

It's this big action movie and it felt like the whole theater was on the edge of their seats for this one word. That's just masterful acting.

RIP to a legend.
