Has anyone read Mein Kampf?
I started reading it about 20 years ago, but man, Mr. Hitler was such a whiner, I think I only made it through the first 2 chapters. Does anyone know how it ends???

shareI bought it years ago, skimmed a little, and will stick to music/movie biographies for the foreseeable future.
shareLife's too short.
shareIt's really 2 books in one. The first book (first half) is like a history lesson according to Hitler, some of it pretty meaningful, obviously because the book did become highly influential later on beyond the 3rd Reich, particularly in the middle east. That's really why the book is so demonized, due to its lasting effects.
The second book, where all the ideology about his future government is laid out, that's where it gets tough to read and at times incoherent. I couldn't finish this half of the book, it seemed like a waste of my time to read that, though more important for historians and psychologists to study.
Really, if you want something really challenging, read the classic Rise and Fall of the 3rd Reich /Shirer.
Yeah I did. I forget almost all of it though.
I also read Benito Mussolini's book titled 'My Rise and Fall' around the same time, he was a much better writer than Adolf Hitler, that much I do remember.
